About The Position

The Cabin Appearance Agent is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of both aircraft interiors and various building spaces, including offices, conference rooms, and restrooms. This involves tasks such as waste disposal, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning floors, windows, and high-touch areas. The role requires the use of various cleaning equipment and adherence to safety procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment. Agents are also responsible for monitoring and reporting supply inventory and maintenance needs, working independently, and communicating with co-workers or flight crew using electronic devices. Specific duties include removing trash from aircraft, cleaning and restocking lavatories, and cleaning all interior aircraft surfaces.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background check
  • Successful completion of pre-employment process which may include but not be limited to; drug screen, hearing and vision check
  • Available to work any shift; day or night, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need.
  • Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies
  • Must be able to use radio electronic devices to communicate with co-workers or flight crew
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
  • Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to perform a variety of physical activities including Pushing, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to operate a computer to enter and retrieve data
  • Ability to utilize radio equipment for communications
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to pass all pre-screening clearances applicable to position qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Empty waste baskets and other refuse containers to dispose of trash and recycling materials.
  • Cleans, dusts, and wipe down all types of surfaces and furniture in cubical, offices and conference rooms
  • Service, clean, disinfect restroom and restock toilet paper, soap, paper dispensers and refill hand sanitizer stations.
  • Clean floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Will also be asked to disinfect "high-touch" areas of the building and office spaces.
  • Vacuum carpet, spot clean, shampoo and extract on an assigned basis.
  • Re-waxes, and buffs floors using heavy duty electric scrubbers and polisher; vacuums and shampoos all carpeted areas with vacuum equipment on assigned basis.
  • Clean interior window seals, partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Record supply inventory as directed and inform management when cleaning supplies are low.
  • Notify the manager of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Follow task lists and work independently in an efficient and responsible manner.
  • Remove all trash from aircraft and clean and restock all lavatories and soiled magazines
  • Clean aircraft floor, galley, all seats, seat back pockets, and tray tables
  • Complete Daily Equipment Checks and associated checklists, including security searches
  • Use personal protective equipment, including a face shield & hearing protection
