About The Position

SplashDown Beach is seeking Cabana Attendants. Candidates must be able to work efficiently and professionally in a fast paced, outdoor environment, taking food orders for our Cabana Guests (2 to 20 guests per Cabana per day). Have a passion for delivering great guest service and a strong sense of pride. Ability to follow established standard operating procedures. Cash handling and high volume data entry. Exhibit a positive can do attitude at all times. Communicate in English effectively. Have high sanitation standards. Be a strong team player who works in conjunction and cohesively with others and under the direction of the Food & Beverage Director. Minimum Age Requirement: 18 Years Old This is a seasonal position beginning as early as Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Department Training and Orientation must be attended prior to starting.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated cash handling skills
  • Strong hospitality skill-set and impeccable sanitation and safety standards
  • Ability to work on your feet throughout the day for 6 to 8 hours a day
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic, adept at multitasking, and a true team player
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and understand English
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced team environment as well as work independently
  • Ability to stand, walk, see, and hear for long periods of time in all weather conditions, this can include rain, wind, and heat.

  • Must be prepared to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Greet Cabana Guests to ensure all details are to the guests expectations
  • Take accurate guest orders in a timely and hospitable manner
  • Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Prepare components of each order (beverages, condiments, etc.)
  • Stock/Re-stock all Cabana Food and Beverage components
  • Memorize ingredients in menu items to accurately relay any allergy concern to our guests
  • Ensure that all front of the house areas exceed sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with team to prep to restaurant for next day
  • Constantly monitor Guest Experience by soliciting feedback
  • Maintain cleanliness of Cabanas based on SplashDown Beach Sanitation standards
