CLA is currently seeking a Senior to join our CAAS (Family Office - Professional Services Industry) group in our Century City, CA office.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates directly with clients in collaboration with managers and liaises with third‑party advisors
  • Working knowledge of personal and corporate charts of accounts
  • Monitors daily client activity, handles requests, and conducts timely follow‑ups on outstanding matters
  • Reviews bank balances daily and facilitates funding with the client, as needed
  • Develops working knowledge of insurance coverages, retirement plans, and gift/estate planning concepts
  • Tracks commissionable income and prepares monthly commission reconciliations
  • Assists clients with applications and bank communications
  • Reviews daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepares monthly cash‑flow reports
  • Performs monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
  • Utilizes available tools to run desks efficiently (e.g., credit card allocation module, bill scheduler/repetitive, repository, and other tools as directed by managers)
  • Supervises, mentors, and manages Analysts and Associates
  • Identifies inefficiencies and implements changes (e.g., going paperless, electronic payments vs. live checks)
  • Other related duties as assigned
