About The Position

Rex is a private, not-for-profit hospital affiliated with the UNC Health Care System. The hospital consists of 660 beds including a heart center, family birth center, cancer center, convalescent care center, adult care center, and wellness center. The main campus has approximately 40 anesthetizing sites including 24 main operating rooms, 6 procedure rooms, 3 OB suites, 6 procedure rooms and a variety of out of department locations (EP, TAVRs, Hybrid MRI). Requirements

• Master’s Degree from an Accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program
• Complies with American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants licensure guidelines
• Must provide Articles of Incorporation for either an 'S' Corp or 'C' Corp
• Must provide own malpractice insurance coverage for full State Limits

Responsibilities

• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Benefits

• 1099 Hourly Rate: $175 per hour
