Our Retail Store Team Leaders, DL EL play a critical role in building and leading teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise. As a CVS Health Store Team Leader, DL EL (STL, DL EL), you will be a single-unit retail leader responsible for leading your team to achieve operational and service excellence. The STL, DL EL will achieve success through managing, inspiring and coaching their direct reports, consisting of Front Store (FS) crew and FS management positions. The STL, DL EL will lead the store team through effective communication, consistent application of SOPs and best practices, provisioning of appropriate support to all departments, and scheduling to the needs of the business. A model for all, the STL, DL EL will demonstrate CVS Health’s Heart At Work behaviors, HelpingWithHeart Actions, and will lead their team to do the same. Primary Roles and Responsibilities: To successfully operate their retail location, the Store Team Leader, DL EL is specifically responsible to: Cultivate and maintain a healthy talent pipeline, including oversight of front store and cross-trained colleague performance and development, contributing to career progression, involving hiring, training, performance management, and where required, termination of employment Ensure appropriate staffing to operate store successfully by scheduling to demand, consistently creating and publishing the schedule 3 weeks in advance, and maintaining financial stewardship of store labor spending Improve store performance measures (sales, service, loyalty, shrink, compliance, etc.) by coaching colleagues and working within the #OneTeam dynamic to identify and address barriers to operation Maintain a safe and high-quality working environment that complies with all regulatory and company standards Oversee timely and quality training of front store and cross-trained colleagues Conduct regular check-ins with all direct reports to track business goals and maintain team engagement Maintain a strong working relationship with Rx DL, Pharmacy Manager, pharmacy team and any other in-store teams (e.g., Minute Clinic, etc.) to foster a #OneTeam mentality and support a holistic total store staffing pipeline Partner with FS DL to establish store priorities, implement new initiatives, and engage all colleagues Act as an ambassador for CVS Health through professional behaviors and positive engagement within the community
