About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Submarine Industrial Support Specialist to support contract efforts in Portsmouth, VA. The successful candidates will possess the NAVAL Shipyard experience supporting onboard modernization events. Combat Systems experience is preferred. Minimum Qualifications Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. (Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Clearance.) High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of practical experience OR degree/formal training and six (6) years experience. (Degree/Formal Training is defined as: Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.) Conducting deckplate audits and surveillances and document findings. Development of Liaison Action Record (LAR) and Departure From Specification (DFS). Possess a strong work controls background. Preparation of SHIPALT / ECI WAFs and tags, etc. experience. Project schedule management experience. Identification and tracking of planned vs. actual progress experience. Identification of problem or weak areas with the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) experience. Identification and interpretation of drawing issues experience. Experience working with the AIT to ensure deck plate work sequencing is being properly executed (i.e. right personnel working in the right areas). Providing written inputs to the Government On-Site Installation Coordinator(OSIC) experience. Participation in Planning and Hotwash events to support MIWG and TI-NEXT experience. Attendance of LMA meetings, as directed by the OSIC experience. Trip and weekly status report preparation experience. Technical reports (for drawing issues, LAR submissions, etc.) preparation experience.
