About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a (C3BM) Principal Systems Engineer in Fort Belvoir, VA to engage in C3BM systems engineering efforts. C3BM systems engineering efforts include engaging in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs.

Requirements

  • Must have a Master's degree in STEM and 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must have experience with MDA/DoD systems engineering life cycle.
  • Must have familiarity with Agile Software Development processes and product development timelines.
  • Must have experience with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or C3BM Program Office work efforts or MDA sensors.
  • Must have the ability to work independently within a dynamic environment.
  • Must have the ability to apply network engineering and solutions to support real-world test, integration, and operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Military experience is preferred.
  • Work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, preferred.
  • Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide interoperability engineering, analysis, and technical guidance for C2BMC, MDS Elements, and external capability integration and interface design efforts between MDA/BC, BC contractors, and MDS Elements.
  • Participate in C2BMC software engineering reviews and analyses for development of C2BMC Spiral products.
  • Participate in technical baseline efforts to develop specifications and interfaces for current and future C3BM spirals.
  • Support critical integration and interoperability product evaluations based on future product integration into MDA/BC spiral builds through interface, requirements, and C2BMC product definitions.
  • Participate in C2BM and BMDS OPIR Architecture (BOA) Agile review processes.
  • Participate in MDA ground test planning and objectives development.
  • Provide evolving C3BM architecture analysis and expertise in the area of OPIR capability.
  • Support M&S development involving C2BMC, sensors, and space assets.
  • Participate in evaluations of C3BM increments and initiatives; coordinate IV&V activities for all C2BMC and OPIR.
  • Provide expertise in threat modeling.
