About The Position

As a software engineer for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications Experimentation Laboratory (C2BMC X-Lab), you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and integrating future-capability prototypes for the Missile Defense System, including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, and other critical leading-edge missile defense technologies.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Experience with Java and the Spring framework
  • Experience with the Linux environment
  • Experience in the use of software test and analysis tools
  • Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent
  • Wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and providing solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions
  • Works under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives
  • Failure to achieve results normally results in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources
  • Frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
