As a software engineer for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications Experimentation Laboratory (C2BMC X-Lab), you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and integrating future-capability prototypes for the Missile Defense System, including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, and other critical leading-edge missile defense technologies. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Experience with Java and the Spring framework, Experience with the Linux environment, Experience in the use of software test and analysis tools. What sets you apart: Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent. Wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and providing solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions. Works under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Failure to achieve results normally results in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources. Frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
