About The Position

The CTPAT and Corporate Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) requirements within the warehouse. This role focuses on implementing security and maintenance protocols to protect assets, personnel, and operations, while overseeing supply chain security and corporate security measures to maintain operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Mid-level experience in security or compliance roles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain CTPAT-compliant procedures for warehouse operations, including inventory handling, transportation, and storage security.
  • Conduct risk assessments of warehouse operations, identifying vulnerabilities in supply chain security.
  • Ensure warehouse practices align with CTPAT Minimum Security Criteria (MSC), including cargo inspections, access controls, and monitoring systems.
  • Manage CTPAT validations and revalidations, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements.
  • Provide training to warehouse staff on CTPAT standards, reporting procedures, and security protocols.
  • Oversee physical security measures in the warehouse, such as surveillance systems, entry/exit controls, and perimeter security.
  • Conduct regular inspections of warehouse premises to identify and address security risks.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans specific to warehouse operations, including evacuation and incident management procedures.
  • Investigate theft, vandalism, or other security breaches within the warehouse and prepare detailed reports.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement or regulatory agencies during security incidents.
  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for warehouse equipment, security systems, and infrastructure to ensure operational continuity.
  • Inspect and maintain physical security infrastructure, such as surveillance systems, alarms, fencing, gates, and lighting, to prevent malfunctions or breaches.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and external vendors to address repair needs in a timely manner.
  • Monitor facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Document maintenance activities and create reports for management, ensuring full compliance with safety and operational regulations.
  • Work with warehouse teams to address maintenance-related concerns and minimize disruptions to operations.
