Reimagine What’s Possible The Electrical Commissioning & Startup Technician provides on-site leadership and technical expertise for the safe commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical systems across new plants, retrofit projects, and turnarounds. Supporting Air Products’ facilities throughout the Americas, this role focuses on utilities and power generation systems, ensuring reliable construction and startup across technologies such as hydrogen, syngas, gasification, ammonia, and ASU plants. The technician will lead electrical testing, implement safety procedures, tackle electrical and instrumentation equipment, and collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and global CSU teams. The role requires significant travel (80–85%), strong hands‑on field experience, proficiency with electrical testing equipment and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, NETA), and the ability to mentor site teams. Successful candidates will complete an 18–24‑month qualification program and help drive consistent global commissioning practices.
