About The Position

This position is an in-office position, based out of our Home Office in Bear Lake, Michigan. JOB PURPOSE: You will be in charge of monitoring, analyzing, and problem-solving for all aspects of C-Store inventory operations, while being responsible for data input, maintenance, reporting, and ensuring compliance with company standards. The role includes team leadership, process ownership, and audit-adjacent responsibilities delivered in a collaborative, solutions-oriented manner.

Requirements

  • Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to work accurately with numbers.
  • Advanced computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Clear understanding of calculations such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of delivering directives and guidance professionally.
  • Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and company pricing strategies.
  • Process-oriented mindset with strong documentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain effective business partner relationships.
  • Experience with cross-functional project management and team leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PDI software, PDI Enterprise, Verifone Commander POS, and PDI Focal Point are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire up-to-date product knowledge, while continuously learning and improving efficient processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of inventory data.
  • Offer guidance, partnership, and timely feedback to team members.
  • Apply file imports from vendors and manually modify data as necessary or appropriate.
  • Develop and document inventory management procedures; train appropriate staff to improve inventory processes and reduce costs.
  • Manage the inventory review and audit process, including coordinating cycle counts, analyzing audit data, and identifying/resolving variances.
  • Provide support to store managers for inventory and pricing-related issues.
  • Travel to company locations as needed to support stores, training, or inventory initiatives.
  • Identify trends, risks, and compliance issues related to inventory, and implement corrective or preventive actions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
