Summary Statement Make a difference in the lives of animals and your community as an Animal Welfare Officer! In this role, you will enforce laws related to dog control, animal cruelty, and rabies prevention across the state, promoting both animal protection and public safety. You’ll have hands-on responsibilities including animal rescue, care, and transportation, conducting investigations, and issuing citations when necessary. You’ll also educate pet owners on responsible animal care and play a critical role in assisting during disasters and emergencies. This is a unique opportunity to combine law enforcement, public service, and compassion for animals.
