About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) position is a temporary role focused on providing essential personal care and support to residents in a skilled nursing facility. The role involves assisting with daily living needs, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a positive experience for residents during their stay. This position is critical in maintaining the comfort and well-being of residents, particularly in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

• C.N.A - Licensure Certification
• 1 year of experience in Skilled Nursing or Long-term care
• Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to perform assigned tasks and meet requirements for in-services, training and meeting attendance; must be able to use the electronic medical record for documentation.
• CA- C.N.A- license in good standing
• Recent experience in acute care, sub-acute, or Long-term care is a plus
• BLS - Current
• 2 Current references (RN's)
• Current Physical (within 12 months)
• Current PPD (within 12 months)
• Titers/Vaccination - MMR, Varicella, Hep B
• Tdap and Flu vaccine - current or decline
• Must be able to pass a background screening and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident centered personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining vital signs, psychosocial support and other personal cares.
• Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
• Provides a positive dining experience.
• Assists residents in transferring, repositioning and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment; provides range of motion and passive exercise.
• Documents resident cares and behaviors according to Society policy, procedure and regulations.
• Handles and disposes of linens, soiled clothing or supplies properly; follows consistent hand washing and Personal Protective Equipment use.
