About The Position

You will work as part of the Leucadia Asset Management (LAM) Technology team for Jefferies. The team provides solutions and support for the asset management business specific to the portfolio management platform and related systems in that environment. Role Support the Geneva platform and related environment. This will involve integrating with the Geneva system for inputs, outputs, reporting and downstream applications. You will work as part of a team supporting the application and closely with business users on new requests and requirements. Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of development experience using C# & .NET framework 3.5 / 4.0 as full stack developer.
  • Experience building C# Console and windows applications for data processing.
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC)
  • Familiarity or working experience of Web API, REST & SOAP web services.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
  • Proficient understanding of database (MSSQL), including T-SQL, Stored Procedures, etc.
  • Knowledge of Hedge Funds and Investment Banking preferably Buy Side.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with team
  • Strong skills in problem solving and debugging
  • Excellent understanding of general programming concept
  • Have experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) in .NET development.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of trade flow processes and security master setup/configuration across various asset classes: ie; listed equities/ equity swaps / FX / CDS and IRS / Bank Debt / bonds and ABS.
  • Experience with Geneva
  • Geneva Accelerators and REST APIs
  • Geneva RSL, SQL reporting and shell scripts
  • Geneva Data Loader and xml formats

Responsibilities

  • Work on one or more projects of moderate to advanced complexity
  • Assist with the development of new modules within the existing framework of Windows applications
  • Effectively document and communicate assigned work and progress
  • Tests programs to ensure quality and expected results prior to deployment in production environment
  • Resolve production Issues on a timely fashion
