Position Summary Supervises water distribution and wastewater collection crews to safely operate, maintain, and repair mains, services, valves, hydrants, manholes, and lift stations while meeting KPIs and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in water/wastewater field operations with 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proficient with CMMS, GIS, and work planning; strong safety leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL (Class A/B) preferred; ability to participate in rotating on‑call.
  • State Water Distribution and/or Wastewater Collection license strongly preferred.
  • Associate’s in utility technology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, dispatch, and supervise crews for leak repairs, main/service installs, valve/hydrant maintenance, sewer line cleaning, and emergency response.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance including confined space, trenching/shoring, traffic control/MOT, LOTO, and PPE.
  • Oversee CMMS work order management, asset PMs, and inventory; verify accurate documentation and closeout.
  • Coordinate with customer service, engineering, contractors, and municipalities on outages and digs; issue notices and maps.
  • Monitor KPIs (response time, backlog, water loss, SSOs, hydrant/valve turn rates) and implement improvements.
  • Coach and evaluate crew leads; participate in hiring, onboarding, and skills development.
