About The Position

The C\/C++ Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains Windows and Linux\-based software applications and systems supporting Government\-directed collection, processing, and dissemination of lawfully authorized data. The role contributes to system\-level architecture, performance optimization, and secure deployment of network collection and monitoring platforms in dynamic operational environments. This position requires expertise in network programming, protocol analysis, and secure systems development. The engineer will support the design and enhancement of collection systems, develop plugins and protocol filters, build RESTful APIs, and contribute to automation, encryption, and security enforcement solutions. The individual will collaborate closely with operational, security, and legal stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet accreditation and legal requirements while maintaining system reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Five (5) or more years of technical experience as a software developer or engineer
  • Experience implementing design specifications for functional requirements
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
  • Proficiency with network programming
  • Experience with C# and .NET framework
  • Experience with Ansible, Docker, and containerization
  • Experience with implementing security controls
  • Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
