About The Position

The C-17 TS Regional Logistics Manager is responsible for planning and managing supply and maintenance support functions to ensure maximum availability of Aviation Training Devices (ATDs) for the Air Force C-17 Aircrew and Maintenance Training Systems program. This leadership role involves overseeing a geographically dispersed logistics team and ensuring compliance with contract requirements while maintaining Government Furnished Property (GFP) and logistics support packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Five years of experience in logistics management, overseeing dispersed site-level leads.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with aviation Contractor Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) required.
  • Working knowledge of Aircrew Training Systems and Aircraft Training Devices.
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to lead teams across multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience in AssetSmart's LOGMAN® CMMS is a plus.
  • Experience with the implementation of new or transitioning CMMS is a plus.
  • Prior experience directing aviation-based integrated logistics support and depot inventory control activities is preferred.
  • Experience working with collective bargaining unit agreements and personnel is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the acquisition and distribution of spares and repair parts necessary for ATDs across the assigned region.
  • Oversees logistics activities including spares inventory, repair, and disposition across the assigned region of the C-17 ATS program.
  • Ensures compliance with contract requirements for calibration of ATD tools and test equipment.
  • Conducts continual analysis of ATD maintenance performance and support requirements to ensure availability meets or exceeds 95%.
  • Evaluates proposed system modifications for impact on existing maintenance support concepts and recommends changes as necessary.
  • Prepares program level reports on spare parts levels as required by the contract.
  • Maintains and updates technical manuals and documentation for site libraries.
  • Manages the processing of excess LSP inventory through Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE).
  • Submits inventory transactional data to meet Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements.
  • Oversees regional inventory control records for ATD and ATS related spares, test equipment, tools, and office equipment.
  • Analyzes maintenance and supply reports to provide recommendations for adjustments to support inventory.
  • Identifies trends toward lower reliability and/or higher support costs.
  • Evaluates work performance on all direct reports according to established performance appraisal policies.
  • Maintains library collections of system diagrams, manuals, and other materials.
  • Coordinates with purchasing and supply/equipment repair vendors for optimum support.
  • Prepares briefing materials on regional logistics support matters.
  • Travels as required.
