About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced or Lead Field Service Representative to support the C-17 Aircraft at Altus Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma. You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers. Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements. Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting C-17A aircraft.
• Extensive knowledge/understanding of mechanical, environmental, avionics and flight control systems, and electrical/electronic systems.
• Must be able to function in a demanding on-call, around the clock operational environment.
• Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime including rotating shifts.
• Must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work.
• Must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer candidates with proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting C-17 aircraft mechanical, electrical/electronic, environmental, and avionics systems.
• Prefer previous military experience or extensive familiarity with military operations and written maintenance procedures.
• Experience with C-17 field or depot is preferred.
• Production Superintendent Experience is desired.
• Extensive experience using maintenance data collection and analysis (G081) is desired.
• Extensive knowledge of C-17 Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical field support of C-17 aircraft.
• Performs troubleshooting procedures for multiple systems coverage.
• Resolves maintenance and operational issues.
• Interprets technical documents and monitors product performance.
• Analyzes technical data and evaluates maintenance procedures.
• Develops and conducts ad hoc training.
