About The Position

The C-12/ King Air AND/OR UC-35 Cessna Citation Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 and UC-35 aircraft. The level of Mechanic is based on years of specific C-12/King Air or UC-35 Citation hands-on A&P mechanic experience. A valid FAA A&P Certificate is required. The Union CBA provides 3 levels of A&P experience based on years of experience on the assigned aircraft C-12/ King Air (200/350/1900) AND/OR UC-35 Cessna Citation. US Citizenship is required to obtain the US Govt Secret Clearance and for facility/base access at this site location. The mechanic is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls, and airframe components. Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Compliance with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751 is necessary. The mechanic must ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract. Knowledge and understanding of the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software are essential. The mechanic may also perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary and perform engine run or taxi operations. Certification must be obtained within 12 months of employment. The mechanic reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
  • A valid FAA A&P Certificate is required.
  • Must be a US Citizen to obtain a US Govt Secret Clearance.
  • Mechanic must provide their own tools and toolbox.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to work any shift assigned under the Union CBA.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination.
  • Must be able to move freely about the aircraft and meet specific weight limits.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of A&P mechanic experience preferred.
  • Five (5) years of C-12/King Air specific hands-on A&P aircraft mechanic experience preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of FAA A&P mechanic experience preferred.
  • Thirteen (13) years of specific C-12/King Air aircraft experience preferred.

Responsibilities
