About The Position

The C-12/King Air Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P). Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12/King Air (200/350/1900) aircraft. A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required. US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Clearance for this opportunity. Union CBA site offers Two (2) levels of A&P mechanic employment, based on years of experience on the specific aircraft C-12/ King Air (200/350/1900). AM-2 - Five (5) years of (FAA) A&P experience required, with Five (5) years of C-12/ King Air hands-on mechanic experience required. AM-3 - Ten (10) years of (FAA) A&P mechanic experience required, and Thirteen (13) years of C-12 experience required for an AM-3, under the Union CBA. Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. Tasks performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components. Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Must comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751. Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract. Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary. Perform engine run or taxi operations. Must be able to meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent is Required. A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required. Union CBA site offers 2 levels of A&P mechanic employment (AM-2 and/or AM-3), based on years of hands-on experience on the C-12/ King Air (200/350/1900) aircraft assigned. AM-2 - Five (5) years of C-12/ King Air (FAA) A&P mechanic experience is required. AM-3 - Ten (10) years of (FAA) A&P mechanic experience required, and Thirteen (13) years of specific C-12 hands-on experience desired, for the AM-3. (under the Union CBA). Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit. A valid Driver's License is required. Mechanic Tools and Toolbox are Required. Mechanics must provide their own Tools and Toolbox, tools must be etched with employee PID, and toolbox shadowed for each tool. (Recruiter can provide toolbox information). Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation, under the Union CBA. Standard Work week - Mon- Fri, 40 hours a week. Must be able to clear pre-employment physical AR-95. AR-95 Medical - (FAA) A&P Mechanic Pre-employment Physical Medical/Physical. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years. Security Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility. Physical and Additional Qualifications: Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs. Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time. Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit. Comply with the (FAA) regulations as applicable. Possesses a valid (FAA) Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certificate which shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements. Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
