About The Position

As a Seasonal Aircraft Deicing Agent at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations during winter weather conditions. This position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate the unpredictable nature of airline schedules. Your primary responsibilities will include checking aircraft for ice and frost on leading edges, applying deicing fluid (Type 1 or Type 4) to various parts of the aircraft, and driving large, heavy vehicles around the aircraft during the deicing process. You will also be responsible for accurately accounting for deicing fluid transactions and performing daily quality control checks on equipment and vehicles. Communication is key in this role, as you will operate a headset/radio to coordinate with ground crew, flight crew, and dispatch. Adherence to safety procedures and protocols is essential, and you will be expected to provide additional services as required while meeting the station's attendance and tardiness standards.
