Represent the Bureau of Workers' Compensation at hearings by reviewing cases, presenting evidence, and making legal arguments. Review and respond to hearing decisions, including filing appeals and preparing related documents when needed. Provide legal guidance to staff and leadership on claims, compliance, and other operational issues. Research laws and regulations to ensure programs and decisions follow state and federal requirements. Handle legal paperwork and inquiries, including subpoenas, correspondence, and questions from employees, employers, and the public.
