About The Position
BuzzFeed is looking for a Social Video Fellow to ideate, produce, and publish creative short-form video content across TikTok and Instagram. If you’re passionate about making people laugh, cry, comment, and share — and you live and breathe internet trends — this is the place for you. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for early-career creators who are obsessed with social media and ready to make an impact. The BuzzFeed Fellowship is a year-long program for aspiring and hungry content creators eager to hone their skills, and to learn by doing. The program is a crash course in how to create content that captures readers’ attention consistently, pushes the cultural conversation forward, and reaches a massive audience. Fellows will work with and learn from members of the BuzzFeed social and editorial teams — some of the smartest, weirdest, most creative, and most viral creators out there. This is the perfect opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in digital media. You won’t be running errands for senior staff, or transcribing someone else’s interviews. The Fellowship is fun and inspiring, but also fast-paced and challenging. This is a paid position starting at $20/hour that is based out of our NYC offices.
