About the position

The Buyer position at Hannibal Regional Healthcare System is responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of supplies and equipment used throughout the organization. This role supports the Materials Management Department by performing buying and other purchasing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of supplies and equipment.
• Perform buying and purchasing procedures in support of the Materials Management Department.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree or courses in Business/Accounting or related fields preferred.
• Two years purchasing experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills with experience producing spreadsheets and word processing.
• Ability to organize work, work independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to operate a variety of office equipment (copier, fax, calculator).
