About The Position
The position involves ensuring that purchasing processes and procedures are completed daily, preventing material disruptions to plant operations, and creating purchase orders for required materials based on production plans. The role requires coordination with production teams to ensure materials are available when needed, monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, and acting as the lead in VCP/MRP implementation at the facility. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders is essential for identifying and resolving supply chain issues. The position also involves collaborating with suppliers to negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms, making data-driven decisions to reduce inventory and costs while ensuring continuity of supply, and maintaining relationships with suppliers. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the training and development of new members of the Knowles Global Supply Chain organization, ensuring timely completion of new supplier setup processes to the Oracle ERP program, resolving invoice issues, participating in annual purchasing audits, and providing regular updates on inventory and risks to key stakeholders.
