About The Position
At Uline, our products are always in stock and ready to ship in all locations. This is how we fulfill our service promise to our customers. In the Purchasing department, you'll make sure we have enough supply to cover the demand for each product at every location. This position is on-site, and we are looking for people who share our passion for excellence in service and product availability. As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory levels and performing inventory analysis on select product lines. You will be responsible for calculating correct order quantities according to inventory specifications and placing purchase orders when needed. Additionally, you will handle and reconcile receiving and invoice issues, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and timely. You will coordinate and reconcile vendor return issues with the Quality and Marketing departments, working collaboratively to resolve any discrepancies. Your role will also involve working with freight carriers to assure on-time delivery of products, which is essential for maintaining our service standards. Completing reports and special projects will be part of your responsibilities, as well as developing and maintaining good vendor relations to ensure a smooth purchasing process. You will also expedite deliveries on selected products to meet urgent customer needs, making your role vital to our operational success.
