About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer/Planner to optimize our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a keen ability to oversee inventory requirements, manage supply chain activities, and implement strategies that enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Proficiency in supply chain management, ERP systems, and supply chain buying and planning within manufacturing or engineering settings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints accurately.
• Strong negotiation skills for securing favorable terms with vendors.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, and managing purchase orders.
• Proficiency with SAP and project management tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints to ensure accurate procurement of materials.
• Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Analyze demand forecasts and sales data to determine material requirements and production timelines.
• Source and procure raw materials, components, and supplies from reliable suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and terms of purchase to secure the best possible prices and conditions.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to meet production needs without overstocking.
• Coordinate with various departments, including procurement, inventory management, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless operations.
• Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production cycle time, efficiency rates, and on-time delivery rates.
• Communicate with sales and customer service teams to provide updates on production status and address any changes in demand or production issues.
• Handle capacity planning and logistics projects to optimize resource utilization.
