About The Position

Aeroseal is looking for a Buyer that will assist us in our mission by executing a timely and cost competitive material supply to meet customer requirements. You will be fluent in leveraging the supply chain to meet or exceed company goals. Proficient at cost saving strategies, contract terms, negotiation, and supplier score card management. Develops, maintains and drives production scheduling to meet customer demand.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing supply chain environment.
• Strong production planning background in MRP environment (i.e. proficient with materials management software).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Nice To Haves

• APICS certification is desirable or willing to attain.
• MRP system implementation experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the flow of materials from suppliers to meet production needs.
• Research suppliers, evaluate potential vendors, and select the best products based on quality, price, and reliability
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, while evaluating their performance. Optimize inventory levels, inventory control and corresponding process improvement plans.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Executes, manages and ensures accuracy of item master, vendor master and BOM.
• Develop department applicable policies, procedures and educational tools.
• Activities may include materials planning and control, procurement, inventory management, storage, warehousing, logistics, transport and distribution.
• Perform other duties as required to support company objectives.
