The Opportunity The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating services and/or materials. Areas may include: machined hardware, tooling, forgings, standard hardware, electronics, etc. The Buyer will also assist in identifying new suppliers to support process and spend efficiencies. Additionally, the Buyer will be responsible for: Working to ensure ISO9001 standards are maintained. Strategic sourcing of assigned commodity parts. Managing business relationships with suppliers commensurate with WI standards including price, quality, and delivery requirements. Managing orders through follow up, issue resolution, and contract negotiation. Analyzing, negotiating and issuing RFQ’s to suppliers for new and existing materials, supply contracts and services. Responsible and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company’s Quality Policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing technologies and/or commodities is desired
  • Strong knowledge and abilities in the following areas: purchasing, contracts or materials
  • MS Office and ERP system knowledge is required; SAP preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills
  • U. S. citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
  • Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
