About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for procuring raw materials, managing inventory, and establishing effective supplier relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and the ability to work closely with suppliers and internal teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
3+ years of purchasing experience or extensive internship with direct buying responsibility.
Experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
Proficiency in negotiating pricing and managing purchase orders.
Experience with supply chain management, SAP, and ERP systems.
Good computer skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of MRP/SAP is a plus.
APICS certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Utilize MRP logic and forecasts for procurement of raw materials, subcontracted services, semi-finished goods, and indirect items.
Manage inventory to maximize turnover while avoiding stock-outs.
Oversee Purchase Orders from issuance to closure, resolving blocked invoices and discrepancies, and identifying when expedited shipment is needed.
Provide recurring and regular forecasts to suppliers.
Assist with selection and qualification of suppliers based on commercial and technical capabilities.
Establish effective supplier relationships to mitigate risks in the supply chain.
Collaborate with Commodity/Purchasing Managers to enhance the supply chain and assist with the selection and qualification of new suppliers.
Support management in completing supplier audits and scorecards.
Ensure suppliers adhere to defined requirements as per Supplier Expectations.
