Requirements

• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrates good organizational skills and the ability to manage time and resources effectively.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Evidence of progressive purchasing experience in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment including effective contract and agreement negotiations.
• Experience in facilitating major team projects.
• Must possess P.C. knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Assure that material, supplies and services are available as required and that they meet established goals through adherence to A-dec’s purchasing policies.
• Contribute to A-dec’s knowledge of new techniques and technologies by researching and communicating information on new materials, products or processes of manufacturing as required.
• Contribute to effective production planning through effective communication of information pertaining to materials availability and fluctuating lead-times.
• Contribute to the delivery of acceptable products and supplies through effective communication of A-dec quality specifications and needs to vendors.
• Contribute to the fulfillment of established department objectives by meeting cost savings, rejection rate and delivery goals.
• Contribute to the success of the A-dec Supplier Performance Appraisal system, MOP 9.1.1.
• Contributes to an environment of self-sustaining, continuous improvement consistent with corporate objectives by participating in activities designed to improve throughput times and eliminating waste in a manner that is measurable and provides value to the product and/or service that is delivered.
