At SunTech Medical, Inc., our Buyers play a critical role in ensuring material availability for regulated medical device manufacturing. We are seeking an experienced Buyer who brings strong procurement discipline, supplier-management experience, and comfort working within quality and compliance requirements. This role is best suited for a procurement professional who enjoys ownership, problem solving, and working cross-functionally to maintain supply continuity in a fast-moving production environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or related field
  • 4+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Demonstrated experience supporting internal or external quality audits
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Ability to make decisions with incomplete or evolving information
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including: Pivot tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP
  • Data analysis and report maintenance
  • Strong supplier-management and negotiation skills
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Requires excellent organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage purchase orders (direct, indirect, services, and consulting) based on MRP recommendations and production demand, including new vendor setup.
  • Monitor inventory levels and material shortages; proactively mitigate supply risks to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Analyze BOMs, delivery schedules, and inventory data to resolve material issues, including expediting or de-expediting as needed.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and performance expectations while holding suppliers accountable for delivery, quality, and cost performance.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and reporting, and collaborate cross-functionally (Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, etc.) to resolve material and supplier-related issues, including non-conformance and vendor returns.
  • Maintain and manually update reports, tracking tools, and planning data when automation is not available.
