About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our collaborative team and support engineering and manufacturing departments in purchasing simple to complex structures, including metals and composites. This is a new position on a team of four buyers, each paired with a planner for project support.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in manufacturing purchasing.
Aerospace purchasing experience (mechanical) is highly preferred
Proficiency with ERP systems (Visual ERP preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
U.S. Citizenship required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Experience in procurement and purchasing processes.
Familiarity with sourcing various types of metals.

Responsibilities

Purchase raw materials and components, primarily metals, for aerospace manufacturing.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with new and existing suppliers.
Ensure vendors have all required information to meet production schedules.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve material flow issues and meet customer requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and manage repurchasing needs.
Utilize ERP systems and company databases effectively.
Conduct supplier visits to assess manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
