About The Position
The Buyer is responsible for performing central purchasing functions and related duties in accordance with established department procedures, County policies, and State and Federal Regulations. This role involves specification development, review of requisitions, sourcing, soliciting quotations, and price analysis for the procurement of goods and services. The Buyer works independently under the supervision of the Purchasing Director and may assist coworkers with higher-level duties or fill in for other positions as needed.
