About The Position
The Buyer position at Foxconn Corporation is a critical role responsible for purchasing materials essential for production use, ensuring that the supply chain remains uninterrupted and that the quality of supplies meets the company's standards. This position requires a proactive approach to vendor management, where the Buyer will evaluate vendor performance and establish new vendor relationships in collaboration with the Legal and Finance departments. The Buyer will be tasked with preparing and placing purchase orders, verifying the timely receipt of items, and resolving any discrepancies that may arise with suppliers. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Buyer will need to develop recovery plans for inventory shortages and overages, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly to maintain production schedules. The role also involves working closely with internal departments and suppliers to coordinate return merchandise authorizations (RMA) and manage rework processes. The Buyer will assist with the implementation of engineering change notifications (ECN) and provide necessary supply chain support to the new product introduction (NPI) team. This position may also include other duties as assigned, requiring flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
