Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join our team. This position would be responsible for the strategic sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of materials and services to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics
  • 1+ years of experience in purchasing / supply chain preferred
  • Strategic sourcing and manufacturing experience preferred
  • Aerospace and Military and Defense experience a plus
  • MS Office and ERP system knowledge is required; SAP preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills
  • U. S. citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S. Responsibilities

  • Work directly with engineering and manufacturing to develop request for quotes and identify new supplier opportunities for materials and services.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of purchase.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Responsible and accountable for procurement of shelf-life products to support manufacturing operations
  • Contracting services for repair and maintenance of capital equipment and spare parts
