About The Position
Scythe is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to support the next chapter in Scythe's journey: ramping from dozens of units to tens of thousands. We've developed an industry-changing machine and have customers knocking down our door for units, so we're looking to scale our production quickly and get thousands of reliable autonomous machines out into the world where they can change how we take care of all our outdoor space. You will be a key member of our supply chain organization and be responsible for purchasing goods and/or services to meet our demanding production schedule. No task will be too large or too small! You will be expected to provide feedback for design, manufacturing, and/or supply chain improvements to help Scythe increase quality, rate, and decrease cost. This role is responsible for purchasing production and prototype materials, managing supplier relationships, assisting with supply chain planning, and coordinating logistics. The ideal candidate brings a solid background in international sourcing, ERP-driven planning, and a willingness to jump into general support tasks when needed. Familiarity with cables, PCBAs, and fabricated metal parts is highly preferred.
