About The Position

Kratos Microwave, Inc., a Kratos' company, is looking for a Buyer/Planner to work onsite at their San Jose location. Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience
• Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties, including computer skills
• Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements
• Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance, if needed

Responsibilities

• Plans and allocates materials to meet internal and external requirements
• Schedules and coordinates the flow of work in manufacturing
• Generates and releases work orders to the shop floor according to the production build plan
• Monitors work orders to ensure on time completion
• Negotiates pricing, delivery, and terms and conditions
• Manages supplier base
• Develops professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
• Determines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as required
• Works on problems of moderate scope which are often varied and routine
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems
• Builds productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems
• Focuses on providing standard professional advice and creating initial reports/analyzes for review by experienced team professionals
• Other duties as assigned
