Your Role at Delta Faucet Do you enjoy working collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal? As a Buyer/Planner, you'll be encouraged to think of creative new ways to reduce inventory and improve service throughout our operations. We organize our Buyer/Planner team by commodity, and in this role you'll own all aspects of PO management for your commodity set, from PO release through receipt and invoice resolution. In addition, you'll coordinate projects between internal/external partners to help implement bill of material (BOM) changes for items within your book of business. Responsibilities Buyer/Planners work directly with our Commodity Managers (Sourcing Team), our manufacturing plants, and our vendors to ensure the effective supply of material to our facilities to meet customer requirements. In your role, you will have three (3) key areas of responsibility including: Direct Material Purchase Order Management: Review, approve, and release purchase orders Coordinate with suppliers and Plant Production Planners to expedite/de-expedite material as needed Proactively catch and prevent future supply gaps while raising issues to the commodity team as necessary Update promised delivery dates on purchase orders within SAP to ensure accurate planning and production signals Work with vendors and manufacturing plants to resolve day-to-day operational questions Work with both internal and external functions to resolve critical invoicing issues Data Management: Lead supplier inventory agreement processes in coordination with our Sourcing team Ensure key supplier data accuracy including updates to lead times, order quantities, etc. Review inventory/demand, minimum order quantities, vendor lead times to optimize purchasing patterns Project Activities: Lead or support projects to deliver cost savings and quality improvements (insourcing, resourcing, outsourcing) Analyze root causes, identify and follow up on countermeasures to resolve supplier performance issues (i.e. – delivery performance below goal) Participate in or lead CI activities to develop new and improved ways to manage daily operations Proactively coordinate meetings and projects with cross-functional teams to drive supply issue resolution and process improvement Work with our commodity managers, engineers, and external vendors to implement BOM changes and manage ramp up/ramp down of supply Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 1+ year of Buyer/Planner and/or procurement experience A demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and process enhancements with tangible results Strong communication skills and ability to act as a knowledgeable resource to others within the group Previous experience using ERP (SAP or equivalent), reporting systems (Power BI or equivalent) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent analytical skills and the ability to write Excel formulas, develop reports/charts/graphs in the above systems Ability to work cross-functionally in a team setting Why Join Us? Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year of Buyer/Planner and/or procurement experience
  • A demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and process enhancements with tangible results
