Requirements

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Manufacturing & Materials Planning and Execution.
  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Nice To Haves

  • Buying/purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, data analysis).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting deadlines and supporting production goals.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies needed to support production schedules and customer demand.
  • Collaborate with production planning, engineering, and operations teams to align material availability with manufacturing requirements.
  • Analyze material requirements using ERP/MRP systems and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships; evaluate supplier performance and address quality, delivery, or service issues.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times to optimize cost savings and ensure supply chain efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Track and report on key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and on-time delivery.
  • Resolve supply chain challenges quickly to minimize impact on production schedules.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement and materials management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
