About The Position

This position is responsible for sourcing assigned categories of product for production as well as for research and development programs. Utilize experience, systems and tools to ensure the timely and cost competitive delivery of raw materials, services, and equipment. Responsible for qualifying and managing the supply chain for assigned categories to include negotiating pricing, contracts, delivery and product quality resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related area of study preferred
• Minimum of 5 years planning / purchasing MRP experience in a low production, highly engineered environment
• Working knowledge of advanced concepts of Supply Chain Planning, Just in Time delivery, Vendor Managed Inventory, Consignment Stock, etc.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, Propel, and Quality Management Systems for ISO 13485 DHF management
• CPSM certification from ISM highly preferred
• Must have a solid understanding of Strategic Sourcing, Materials Management, and Logistics
• Excellent Analytical and presentation skills - Must be able to analyze data and use it to create presentations to supplier partners and all levels of management

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve the Purchase Order and Supply Chain process
• Load and adjust supplier, component and assembly attributes in ERP and/or applicable systems
• Utilize ERP and/or applicable systems to effectively manage purchases
• Negotiate cost and delivery with assigned categories to achieve total best landed cost
• Significantly contribute to creating and documenting sustainable supply chain processes for both Direct and Indirect categories
• Drive supply chain continuous improvement to improve quality, reduce cost, reduce lead-time and reduce managed SKUs
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820 and any other regulatory or GMP requirements
• Manage the transition of development programs into a sustainable production supply chain
• Manage total cost ownership (TCO), including logistics and import/export of materials
• Leverage cost benefit analysis and savings expertise to mitigate and improve standard cost variances
