Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, supplies and related materials through production and inventory process.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED equivalency required
- 3+ years experience in production planning and purchasing preferred
- Written and oral communication
- Creative thinker/problem solver
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Proficient with MS Office programs
- Proficient with SAP and ERP systems
Nice To Haves
- 2 year college degree with emphasis in Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing preferred. Comparable experience will be considered.
- Experience working in a medical device company with inventory, production planning, accounting and shipping/receiving experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Works with production and development teams to maintain production schedules. Plans and produces production orders to be released and processed while monitoring capacity availability in key work centers.
- Develops and publishes lead-time data to customer service based on both material availability and capacity available.
- Communicate with Customer Service regarding changes in customer orders and projected shipment dates while maintaining service levels consistent with corporate requirements.
- Specify and arrange for all deliveries into the plant based on corporate requirements (OTD, inventory turns, reduction of lead time, etc.).
- Maintain relationships/contacts at all suppliers/vendors.
- Generates requisitions/POs for required purchased materials to support production schedules. Expedites goods and / or services as required.
- Analyzes, evaluates and controls inventory of finished goods and purchased parts.
