About The Position
We’re seeking a Buyer specializing in mechanical components to support procurement for complex electromechanical systems. This role focuses on sourcing machined parts, fabricated components, hardware, and mechanical assemblies.
Requirements
- 4+ years purchasing experience
- Experience sourcing mechanical parts or fabricated components
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Responsibilities
- Source and negotiate for machined parts, fabricated components, hardware
- Support prototype builds and mechanical ECOs
- Evaluate and qualify mechanical suppliers
- Ensure compliance with FDA/ISO standards
- Track supplier performance and drive improvements
- Expedite critical mechanical parts to support production
- Support audits and maintain purchasing documentation
