About The Position

The Buyer Level II is responsible for advanced procurement activities, vendor relationship management, and cost-saving initiatives. This role involves analyzing purchasing trends, negotiating contracts, and improving supply chain efficiency while ensuring company compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, data analytics, and advanced Excel.
  • CPSM, CPIM, or equivalent (strongly preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of procurement strategies and vendor management.
  • Strong negotiation skills for contract and pricing agreements.
  • Ability to analyze complex procurement data for cost savings.
  • Knowledge of inventory management techniques.
  • Ability to develop and implement procurement policies.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.
  • Ability to manage high-value procurement projects.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills for supplier issues.
  • Strong presentation and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service levels.
  • Develop and maintain strategic vendor relationships to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Manage high-value purchase orders and complex procurement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
  • Track and report key performance metrics related to purchasing and supplier performance.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to reduce waste.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to drive purchasing decisions.
  • Support junior buyers by providing training and mentorship.
  • Source parts from multiple vendors, evaluating lead times, costs, and customer requirements to make informed purchasing decisions that align with project timelines and due dates.
  • Manage and maintain all Material Resource Planning (MRP) metrics (e.g. sourcing, lead times, stock levels and other related data points).
