THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE LOCATED IN GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA! ! WE ARE GROWING! Position Summary:Daily responsibilities include Reporting, Material Purchasing, Inventory Monitoring, Managing Vendor Relationships utilizing Lean Practices to maintain efficiencies in supply chain management through the production output stage of customer order fulfillment. Measures of success include Days In Inventory (DII), Annual Inventory Turnover, Product On-Time Delivery (OTD), Purchase price variance (PPV) and Vendor Performance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in a related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of procurement and supply chain experience in a Lean (Kanban, Demand Pull, Point of Use, etc.) manufacturing environment. 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with an ERP/MRP system.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time and lift 30 to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • CPIM or APICS certification a Plus.
  • International procurement experience a Plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze material requirements to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials and services for designated commodity / part families for production utilizing MRP, pull Indicators and new product introduction plans.
  • Identify, develop, and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Negotiate price and delivery terms with suppliers to minimize material cost, inventory levels, and transportation costs while supporting production demand requirements.
  • Manage procurement of assigned components including order placement, expediting and discrepant material resolution.
  • Create and maintain reports as needed to monitor inventory levels and support production schedules.
  • Mitigate material shortages and/or planning work order delays through direct involvement with production resources and suppliers.
  • Maintain and improve lean techniques for inventory management, point of use stocking, and just in time manufacturing planning of customer orders.
  • Confirm timely and accurate receipt of purchased materials, ensuring all items match purchase order quantities and specifications.
  • Review and resolve discrepancies between packing lists, purchase orders, and received materials (shortages, overages, damaged goods).
  • Monitor inventory locations to ensure materials are stored correctly, labeled properly, and easily accessible for production needs.
  • Perform periodic cycle counts to verify system inventory matches physical stock at designated locations.
  • Perform annual physical inventory following company guidelines.
