About The Position

The Buyer III position at Ultra Clean Technology Systems involves sourcing, purchasing, and expediting materials and commodities from approved vendors, both locally and internationally. This role is critical in ensuring timely delivery and quality of materials, negotiating pricing and terms, and supporting supply chain initiatives. The Buyer III will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to optimize procurement processes and achieve key performance indicators related to inventory and cost management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, business, materials, or industrial engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or materials management.
• Knowledge of MRP systems and experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• APICS certification preferred.
• Experience with NPI procurement.

Responsibilities

• Buy, source, and expedite materials and commodities from approved vendor lists.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with local and overseas suppliers.
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers and meet quality requirements.
• Execute cost reduction initiatives and maintain supplier scorecard programs.
• Support and provide inputs to improve supply chain initiatives and strategies.
• Optimize material procurement value by reducing costs and limiting unfavorable price variances.
• Work with Materials Quote Analysts to quote new and existing materials.
• Make tactical buying decisions and resolve invoice issues for payment approvals.
• Order, reschedule, and cancel materials based on requisitions and MRP output.
• Maintain procurement records, documentation, and metrics.
