About The Position

The Buyer III position at Royal Caribbean Group is a full-time role focused on sourcing, analyzing, and negotiating goods and services within specialized areas such as food, beverage, technical, and IT. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of commodities to influence procurement decisions and ensure high-quality service at low costs. The position is based in Miami, Florida, and reports to the Manager of Commodity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years related procurement experience or specialized technical experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
• Negotiation and analytical skills required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a multicultural environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Research suppliers from a variety of usual and unusual sources.
• Develop a procurement and negotiation strategy based on few variables.
• Perform moderately complex price analysis and confer with suppliers for product or service information.
• Negotiate price and availability, working with Logistics to define transportation and delivery schedules.
• Manage supplier performance to ensure consistent service and high quality at low costs.
• Work independently with minimum supervision, seeking guidance from management on unusual situations.
• Provide guidance to Buyer I/II as needed.
• Travel to attend trade shows, audit suppliers, and visit ships for loadings and repositioning.
