About The Position

Minimum Knowledge and Job Responsibilities: Bachelor’s degree preferred and minimum of 5 years’ experience directly in a purchasing role. Acts autonomously in making a majority of the daily decisions related to the commodities in which they oversee. Responsible for maintaining our online store (internal), including product selection, sourcing new vendors and quarterly evaluation. Maintain accurate inventory levels and validates inventory counts monthly (high value items only). Must demonstrate competency in effective purchasing techniques, sourcing and negotiating. Must have direct experience working with multiple suppliers and commodity classes. Experience with presentations; ability to conduct training sessions to explain the capabilities of the purchasing department. Assists Manager in annual budget process and in creating department procedures based on experience or seasonal demands.
