About The Position

OBJECTIVE: To ensure materials are available for production schedules necessary to meet customer demand while supporting business requirements for cost and quality. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Procure materials, components, and outside services as required by forecast and production schedule to meet customer requirements. • Coordinate out-going and in-coming transportation for outside services and expedite as needed. • Work with assembly, inside sales, and machine shop to identify immediate needs that may impede on-time delivery of customer orders and expedite accordingly. • Enter move/inventory/job transactions as required to support inventory and scheduling functions. • Monitor open purchase orders and expedite as needed to ensure on-time delivery of all materials to support customer requirements. Communicate concerns or potential stock-outs to management and other affected co-workers. • Facilitate prompt disposition and return of non-conforming materials to suppliers when necessary. • Support new product introduction activities as needed. • Help implement item revisions specified by engineering change orders. • Promote adherence to ISO processes and procedures. • Perform other duties as required. QualificationsEducation: • College degree preferred, or equivalent experience • APICS, ISM, and/or other certification helpful Experience: • 2+ years procurement experience, preferably in a metal fabrication environment • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with ERP based manufacturing and supply chain processes in an ISO setting • Prefer prior experience with Lean concepts or Continuous Improvement programs Skills/Other: • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Competencies: • Customer Focus • Integrity and Trust • Communication – including ability to present information in written and Excel formats • Problem Solving/Analytical Thinking • Organization and attention to detail • Initiative • Flexibility - ability to manage multiple and changing priorities • Cross-Functional Collaboration - ability to work diplomatically and communicate effectively with other functional groups Company Expectations: • Commit to procedures mandated by ISO QMS. • Maintain professional attitude and demeanor. • Treat coworkers with respect and dignity. • Be punctual and practice good attendance. Requirements

  • College degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years procurement experience, preferably in a metal fabrication environment
